At the high school level, Coach Sokaitis led his teams to a state championship in Washington, state runner-up in Colorado and third place finish in Connecticut. In all, his teams have won ten conference championships while he collected twelve "Coach of the Year" awards.
On the clinic circuit, Coach Sokaitis has presented at 14 NCAA Division I Final Fours, numerous prestigious events like the Best of the West Clinic and internationally in Greece, Lebanon, and Japan.
He is simply regarded as one of the best teachers of the game of basketball.
After a brief stop with the Alaska Dream Team, a now defunct expansion team in the American Basketball Association, Al was named the Head Coach of the Post University Men’s Basketball team in Waterbury, CT in May 2010.
